Mark 16:15 (AMP) And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race].

WEEK FOUR: World Changers Part 3 - 'Go beyond your boarders...'

Caption:   This is another short of the busy shopping centre in Derby, United Kingdom that we saw last week. I took this picture whilst in Derby on an ‘evangelistic outreach’ (impact team) helping the local branch of my church fellowship in Derby reach their city for Jesus. One of the churches from London joined us and here we see some of them ministering in song (rap actually) which can be heard resonating all the way up the hill and beyond where the eye could see, Jesus was lifted up!

Key Scripture: John 12:32 (KJV)
‘…And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

Food for Thought:
One of the marks of Christianity is giving of one’s self for the benefit of others. When it comes to evangelism a really good way of giving is of your time to purposefully go and support a neighboring church or Christian friend in reaching their city or their family / friends. Helping other people reach their city or sphere of influence is just as important as you reaching your own because the scriptures call for us to ‘go into ALL the world’ not just our world and preach the gospel or in other words [Jesus] up so than people can hear the gospel and Jesus can then use that to draw them to Himself…God wants us to be involved in helping our neighbors, near and far to reach the lost in their city for His glory…

The Weekly Challenge:
 1. If your local church has impact teams, sign up to go on one!, if not find a friend whose church has an evangelism program or enquire about other churches in your network or fellowship in another city and go up to visit on a day their church has an evangelism outreach to help them witness.
 2.  Think of other ways you can look beyond your boarders and act on them! Be creative!!!!!!
 3. Email us @ pgspreadtheword@gmail.com and tell us how you get on!

WEEK THREE: World Changers Part 2 - 'Go into Your Local World...'

Caption: In this week’s picture is a street full of people in the busy shopping centre of a town called Derby, United Kingdom. Just look at how many people are in just this one street on a Saturday afternoon going about their lives, some having never heard the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, some lukewarm in their faith, some are those who knew Christ and are now backslidden (far from God) and others wear labels of other religions or non religions and others still simply confused....This is a picture of what my city and your city looks like today without Christ...

Key Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:20 (NKJV)
'Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.'

Food for Thought:
It is so humbling to think that God wants to include us in His plan to save the world isn't it? Imagine that! God thinks I (you) are worthy to be His ambassador in our local city / town, community, office, university, school, network...No matter who we used to be, or how qualified we may think we are, God wants to send us to spread the gospel and share the truth that Jesus is in our lives with others in our local community. This is the focus for this week, ‘your local community’...

How can you be an ambassador and represent Christ in your community through evangelism?
Does your church have a local evangelism program you can step out in faith and participate in?
Is there a scripture union or Christian group in your school, university or workplace you could join and work with to evangelise to the non believers and backsliders in your community?

* An ambassador is a diplomatic official of the highest rank appointed and accredited as representative in residence by one government or sovereign to another; A diplomatic official heading his or her country's permanent mission to certain international organizations; An authorized messenger or representative. [http://www.answers.com/topic/ambassador].

The Weekly Challenge:
 1. Find out what your church is doing in the area of evangelism and get involved...if nothing is really happening, why not ask if you can start an outreach group?
 2.  Purposely go out each day looking for an opportunity to be an *ambassador of Jesus Christ
 3. Email us @ pgspreadtheword@gmail.com and tell us how you get on!

Strategy for your whole city

Your whole city is lost without Christ and if they die that way, will end up in hell...If we are not actively spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ;we are not truly living out our walk with God through Jesus the way He has called us to...

Our cities are full of brokenness and despair... divorce, suicide, gang violence, teenage pregnancies, abortion, paganism and idol worship are just a small fraction of the things taking place right outside our door steps in out local communities every day!

Charles Spurgeon, a great old time preacher once said,
"If you have no desire to see souls saved,
then you are not saved yourself;
You can be sure of that!"

WEEK TWO: World Changers Part 1 - Your Sphere of Influence

Caption: In this weeks picture we see a group of teenagers from the Potter' House Church in Bristol on an *Impact Team to Reading performing a gospel inspired dance routine to music on the street. It was a sight to see, young girls ranging from 12 - 20 years old completely sold out for Jesus and not ashamed to proclaim the gospel to complete strangers in a strange city desiring only to 'change the world' with the gospel of Jesus Christ!
*An impact team is a group of people who set off to a town that is not their own to evangelise to the lost (non believers).

Key Scripture:
Mark 5:18-20 (NKJV) ‘And when He got into the boat, he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with Him. However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.” And he departed and began to proclaim in Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and all marvelled.

The full story can be found in the following: Matthew 8:28-34; Mark 5:1-20; Luke 8:26-39

Food for Thought:
Wow! Can you imagine being the gadarene demoniac? Living all that time in caves, a broken life, despair, lost to the world then Jesus steps in, saves him, cleans him up and gives him a new life just like the new life we got when we were first saved.  And just like us when we first got saved, he wanted to go with Jesus (to heaven in our case) because he wanted to be with Christ and not go back to his situation. What happened was Jesus said no, go back to your ‘sphere of influence’, your friends, family, neighbours and tell them what the Lord has done for you! That is what we need to do, go back to our sphere of influence and cause a change by sharing the saving gospel of Jesus Christ with them.

The Weekly Challenge:
 1.Change your part of the world first - Find someone in your sphere of influence (those in your group or network of friends and family) and share your faith with that one person.
 2.  Look for someone beyond your boarders to reach out to with the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ!

WEEK ONE: How do you know you are saved?

Caption: In this weeks picture is Rebecca from Southampton is a young lady I witnessed to and led to the Lord on an evangelistic ‘impact team’.  She joined our local church branch there and is living for God today. I spoke to her yesterday just to say hello and find out how she is getting on and I came away from that conversation amazed at how much God has moved in her life in the last year and how much she has changed and grown. [2 Corinthians 5:17]

Key Scripture: 1 John 5:11-14 (KJV); ‘And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us’.

Food for Thought: Before you can venture out and into the world to preach the gospel, you must be sure you are saved yourself. At a recent Christian Foundations class at my church, my pastor asked us all to consider the following question; “How do you know you are saved?”  He tasked us to find a scripture in the bible that gave us the confidence in our salvation and affirmed what we knew to be true. I must admit that having been saved for a while I was caught off guard because I had never looked at it that way, one scripture I have memorized that even in the hardest of times I could draw my reassurance from that piece of God’s word written on my heart… So I went I looked and I found 1 John 5:11-14 (our scripture of the week).

The Weekly Challenge:
 1.Search the scriptures for yourself and find that one scripture that you can memorize; that is, ‘written on your heart’ that gives you your assurance.
 2.  Find one person this week you can witness to specifically to share you salvation story and the reason based on your scripture that you have confidence and assurance in your salvation.
 3.Email us @ pgspreadtheword@gmail.com and tell us how you get on!

By Many Or By Few by Rudo Nyangulu

“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed?”
It only takes one breath;
Breathed in the purposes of aiding sound;
Sound that is made to bring forth a message;
A message that delivers the gospel in its truth;
Truth that sets those once captive to the darkness;
Free eternally in HIS light as they believe...

“And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?”
It only takes one heart;
Rose-tinted glasses detached from its obscured vision;
Revelation of the truth of life with and death without HIM;
Completely forgiven of a multitude of sins;
Desperate to see hell denied of anymore victims;
Determined to share the truth of salvation it has received;

Going into the world with the antidote for its worst disease – SIN!

“And how shall they hear without a preacher?”
It only takes one life;
With breath within and a heart changed;
Transformed and renewed in mind and purpose;
With a Heavenly perspective of what the end of time will bring;
For those lost and deceived by the devil conspiring with their sinful flesh;
And the FATHER’s heart crying out for HIS lost sheep…The WORLD…
Who can the FATHER send? Who can HE entrust with HIS gospel? Who WILL go for HIM?

Who would be willing…but those HE has already saved?

Almost doesn't count...

Almost really doesn't count...
Almost giving your life to Christ;
Almost turning away from sin,
Almost trying to do what is right
Satan is not a stranger to 'ALMOST'

The road to hell is paved with good intentions...
